MEDICINE + TANGO. 2nd Conference of Museology of Health and 1st Meeting of Cultural History of Health

tango y medicina

Tango is a significant part of our social history. Buenos Aires recognizes it as an active member of its cultural heritage. UNESCO has declared in 2009 the tango at the Río de la Plata as Cultural Heritage of Humanity. This day-Conference honors tango through a series of lectures and presentations in which renowned professionals from various disciplines will tackle an interesting little-known production that links this citizen manifestation with health.

The Argentinean Society of Medical History of the Argentinean Medical Association and the History and Cultural Heritage Program of the Health Ministry of the City of Buenos Aires welcome you to the 2nd Conference on Museology of Health and 1st Meeting of Cultural History of Health entitled "Medicine + Tango". Through an integrative proposal we invite you to participate to learn the history from the fields of health, culture and education.

The event will be held on Tuesday 18 December 2012, 3:30 pm. to 7:30 pm at the Argentinean Medical Association, Av. Santa Fe 1171, City of Buenos Aires and counts with the support of the Pan American Health Organization.
