12th National Workshop for the History of Science and Technology 7th Latin American Congress for the History of Science and Technology
November 11-14, 2010 - Salvador, Brazil
The 12th National Workshop for the History of Science and Technology, organized by the Brazilian Society for the History of Science (SBHC), will be held on November 11-14, 2010, together with the 7th Latin American Congress for the History of Science and Technology. The event will take place in the Universidad Federal de la Bahía (UFBA). Conferences, round tables, symposia, seminars, courses, book presentations, lectures, and social-cultural events will be scheduled.

Wellcome Film
The Wellcome Library has made online available a new digital collection of moving images on 20th-century healthcare and medicine. Over 450 titles -100 hours of film and video- have been transferred and are freely available under Creative Commons licences. There are some real treasures on public health topics (obesity, polio, tabaquism or paludism) and some others on medical and surgical technologies.

Web 2.0 resources for dealing with academic information
These days the amount of scientific information is diverse and colossal.
