La Asociación de Filosofía e Historia de la Ciencia del Cono Sur (AFHIC), es una asociación sin fines de lucro, fundada el 5 de mayo de 2000, en Quilmes, Argentina, durante el acto de clausura del II Encuentro de Filosofía e Historia de la Ciencia del Cono Sur. El objetivo principal de AFHIC es contribuir al desarrollo del conocimiento de la ciencia desde una perspectiva tanto filosófica como histórica en los países de habla española y portuguesa, especialmente los del Cono Sur americano.

Consequently, its membership consists of those interested in a variety of disciplines, including history, public health, demography, anthropology, sociology, social administration and health economics.

Créée en 1980, reconnue par l’Académie des Sciences, la SFHST a pour but de susciter, coordonner et encourager les études relatives à l’histoire et à l’épistémologie des sciences et des techniques. Ses activités envisagent les sciences et les techniques dans leur dynamique, en privilégiant la diversité des points de vue et les échanges entre chercheurs, tant sur le plan méthodologique que cognitif. Son ouverture aux autres champs de l’histoire et aux autres disciplines (sciences humaines, économie, conservation, muséologie) facilite l’insertion de l’histoire des sciences et des techniques dans l’ensemble des questionnements actuels.
10   Link   Sociedad Latinoamericana de Estudios Sociales de la Ciencia y la Tecnología (ESOCITE)
Esta sociedad fue creada por un conjunto de profesores, investigadores y estudiantes de posgrado latinoamericanos, implicados en los estudios sociales de la ciencia y la tecnología ha considerado la creación de una sociedad heredera de un pensamiento latinoamericano activo, original y crítico.
Entre sus objetivos se encuentran: fortalecer los vínculos de la comunidad de los estudios sociales de la ciencia y la tecnología en latinoamericana y otras regiones; extender y fortalecer las investigaciones en estos campos, estimulando el desarrollo de una perspectiva crítica basada en la promoción de los colectivos y actores de la región; estimular la formación de posgrado (especialización, maestría y doctorado) en los estudios sociales de la ciencia y la tecnología, conformando vínculos estables entre los diversos programas e instituciones; desarrollar y promover la educación CTS en los diferentes niveles de enseñanza, así como en la formación de docentes en este campo; apoyar y fortalecer las publicaciones académicas y de divulgación sobre los estudios sociales de la ciencia y la tecnología en América Latina; establecer vínculos estables de colaboración con sociedades similares de otras regiones (como 4S, EASST, SLHCyT, ALTEC), así como con sociedades latinoamericanas que representan a otros campos disciplinarios o de interés; entre otros.

The International Society for the History of the Neurosciences (ISHN) was founded in Montreal on May 14, 1995. Its mission is to
improve communication between individuals and groups interested in the history of neuroscience; promote research in the history of neuroscience; and promote education in and stimulate interest for the history of neuroscience.

HOPOS, The International Society for the History of Philosophy of Science, is devoted to promoting serious, scholarly research on the history of the philosophy of science. We construe this subject broadly, to include topics in the history of related disciplines and in all historical periods, studied through diverse methodologies. HOPOS aims to promote historical work in a variety of ways, but especially through encouraging exchange among scholars through meetings, publications, and electronic media.

The International Society for the History of Medicine (ISHM) was founded in Paris in 1921. The purpose of the Society is to assist and support the historical study of all questions relating to the medical and biomedical sciences and, more generally, to all branches of the healing arts. French and English are its two official languages. Specifically, the Society seeks to improve communication between individuals and professional groups throughout the world interested in these disciplines to promote the teaching and spread knowledge on these topics. The Society sponsors and oversees the organization of biannual international congresses in the history of medicine.

É constituída por instituições de ensino, pesquisa ou prestadoras de serviços que desenvolvem formação pós-graduada em Saúde Coletiva (Sócios Institucionais) e por profissionais que exercem atividades nessas áreas (Sócios Individuais).

The Society for the History of Technology was formed in 1958 to encourage the study of the development of technology and its relations with society and culture.
An interdisciplinary organization, SHOT is concerned not only with the history of technological devices and processes but also with technology in history—that is, the relationship of technology to politics, economics, science, the arts, and the organization of production, and with the role it plays in the differentiation of individuals in society. Not least, it is concerned with interpretive flexibility, the conception that beliefs about whether a technology "works" are contingent on the expectations, needs, and ideologies of those who interact with it.

Fundada en el año 1955 la Sociedad Chilena de Historia de la Medicina, desde sus inicios, ha tenido como objetivo central servir de instancia de encuentro para todas aquellas personas que, vinculadas al ámbito médico y desde sus respectivas áreas profesionales, han querido manifestar su interés por conocer los distintos aspectos historiográficos que se desprenden del desarrollo de la Medicina en sus más variadas facetas.
Tras su refundación legal en el año 2005, la Sociedad ha querido proseguir con su primigenio trabajo de investigación en torno a la Historia de la Medicina y su respectiva labor de difusión. Dichas labores esperan ser revitalizadas y complementadas, tanto gracias a la aplicación de las nuevos miradas que nacen de las circunstancias contemporáneas que vive el mundo de la Medicina, como a los aportes provenientes de otras esferas del conocimiento que, desde mediados del siglo XX, han hecho de la Salud objeto de su mirada y análisis.

The American Association for the History of Nursing (AAHN) is a professional organization open to everyone interested in the history of nursing. Originally founded in 1978 as a historical methodology group, the association was briefly named the International History of Nursing Society. The purpose of the Association shall be to foster the importance of history as relevant to understanding the past, defining the present, and influencing the future of nursing by stimulating national and international interest and collaboration in the history of nursing, educating nurses and the public regarding the history and heritage of the nursing profession, encouraging and supporting research in the history of nursing and recognizing outstanding scholarly achievement in nursing history, encouraging the collection, preservation, and use of materials of historical importance to nursing, serving as a resource for information about nursing history, producing and distributing educational materials related to the history and heritage of the nursing profession, promoting the inclusion of nursing history in nursing curricula and fostering interdisciplinary collaboration in history.

The Canadian Society for the History of Medicine/Société Canadienne d'histoire de la médecine promotes the study, research and communication of the history of health and medicine in all of its facets. Since its founding meeting in 1950 at the Université Laval, Quebec, the CSHM/SCHM has drawn its members from a broad range of intellectual perspectives in the humanities and health sciences.
