Description
Medicine Studies strongly encourages the publication of themed issues focusing on one topic to be approached from a strong interdisciplinary perspective, covering its historical development as well as the theoretical, philosophical, cultural and ethical dimensions. The journal will announce calls for themed issues but also welcomes proposals for issues devoted to a specific topic under debate. Proposals for themed issues will be reviewed and accepted by the editors of the journal; however, papers to be published within the themed issue will be subjected to the regular peer review process like any other original or review article. About one third of the volumes will be reserved for papers not devoted to the specific topic in order to facilitate fast communication. Medicine Studies accepts original contributions falling within the scope of the journal (and its issues). In its section "Past and Present", the journal publishes review articles that provide an overview on the current developments and state of the art in a specific field of medicine or allied sciences. All papers submitted for review must be prepared according to the journal’s style guidelines and contain the following: title page, text, references, and, if desired, tables and figures. (More detailed guidelines to follow.) To provide the most recent information, we strongly encourage our readers to submit announcements and calls for papers of interest to the scientific community. The journal will also accept suggestions for book reviews.
